Travel Oregon's beautiful "Oregon Garden" at the Royal Horticultural Society's Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival showcases a beautiful, little Pacific Northwest garden complete with large boulders, a woodchip path and grape vines. The idea is to inspire a curiosity about, and perhaps even an interest in visiting, our beautiful state.
The sweet, little pamphlet that accompanies the exhibit includes "adventure pairings" – suggestions of things to do in Oregon, inspired by six featured plants. I got to illustrate the plants this year, which was great fun. I learned about some plants that I wasn't familiar with, including the Hart's tongue fern.
